Sometimes confident, sometimes nervous.

Ironman New Zealand is just about 10 days away.  I feel cautiously ready, until I really sit still and think about the length of the event.  I was sick with a stomach flu and then a chest cold for so long, I feel a bit deficient in my training.  And that sick spell affected my mental state too.  319788_3687502189624_1109944529_nAn example:  I was going to swim 4k this morning at Ala Moana Beach Park to check out my fabulous Freak of Nature wetsuit, but the windy conditions (and me telling myself I could swim long later in the week) weren’t conducive to me staying out more than 2K.  Will I be ready?
